You say nothing

I tell you:

“I love you”

You smile awkwardly

And I turn red

For a minute

I feel like you may love me back

You don’t deny it

Because you say nothing

I start to panic

I just want to run away

Will I ever know?

How you feel?

I don’t even know who you are

I just want to give up

But my body won’t let me

Do I really love him?

Maybe I’m just confused

So please just say something

Anything at all

So I can finally move on

And start again
